Uncommon to see a frypan in a Western swing band.

Yes it is usually to see a Frying Pan in western swing. For that matter they are not seen much for any kind of music in the 1940s. It's like their time was already over by then. Good to see Deuce Spriggins singing, I always liked him.

Ralph Miele recorded some nice solos with that group. Hank Penny's "Wildcat Mama" and Carolina Cotton's "I Love to Yodel" being some standouts.
