For the last few weeks, I've been switching out cords to eliminate an occasional drop in volume along with some distortion. Now, I suspect it's the volume-pedal.

I have had this pedal since the first ones were available and it's been trouble-free up until now.

Part of my practice routine is to set the volume and play with my foot off the pedal. It helps reveal any blocking errors. Just today, though, the signal break-up was coming and going quite frequently.

I always run the Omni through the power-source (not battery); is there some routine maintenance that I've unwittingly ignored? Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I would suspect the pot. Omni, although has electronics, is still a pot pedal.

Thanks, guys.

I don't know why, but I thought the Omni was immune from 'pot problems'.

Does anyone know when they were introduced? I know I bought mine almost immediately they were available.

By the way: I have become accustomed to the vast improvement in tone over my previous 'standard' Goodrich pedals. If I have to part with the Omni while it's repaired, I'm going to miss it!! 'All' I have now is the economy pedal produced by Doug Earnest. It's an excellent unit but I know I'll hear the difference.

I had considered the Omni at one point but finding it still had a pot I decided against it.

Hilton or Telonics no pot.

I've already replaced the pot in my Omni once.

Does it behave the same in passive mode?
