My Franklin D10 has MSA-style pedal return springs on A, B, and C. The rest don't have them. Is this stock? |

The D=10 Franklin I had (S/N 65) had springs on all. |

Here’s a picture to clarify. Only the A, B, & C pedals have a tiny hole drilled for the hook end. The inconsistency makes me wonder if these were added later.

I don't have the Franklin or a good picture but that type of spring was not on mine. |

Thanks Jack, I'll take your word for it. I had this guitar signed by Paul Sr. a few years ago and I think he mentioned they weren't stock but couldn't remember for sure. I think I'll remove them. |

I had Franklin serial #168 and it does have those springs on pedals A,B,C in a pic I have of the guitar upside down. They also remind me of the early 1973 MSA Classic steels which also had similar springs on them. _________________ I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.
I received my education, drivin through the Nation listenin to Paul!.. ( Franklin that is! ) |

I played a MSA Classic steel for about 18 years. I liked the springs, You can feel the pedals. Before the strings start moving, And notes go sour. |

Thanks for all the responses. I've researched this some more, and found some pictures of Franklins with these on all pedals and some without any.
Should I put these on all 9 pedals? It's easy to do now while I'm cleaning up the undercarriage. |
