Cold, rainy, February night in East TN tribute to George Jones and Becky Hobbs in my home studio. I remember when every little restaurant had a jukebox. Now the only place I still see one is at Waffle House and unfortunately I don't see George Jones on them.

I'm not sure "No Show" would be too excited about anything I do, but its nice for you to mention it. I just do this to be able to play real country.

That’s just great Rick! Assume you played all the fine leads but what about the stand up bass? It sure got my attention. _________________ Bill Cunningham

On this one I did the basic bass with Band In Box, exported it to the DAW and edited it with MIDI to get the walkups, etc... that I wanted. I used an acoustic bass synth by UVI Workshops for the sound. If you understand this, then you know how simple it actually is to do. If you're not familiar with the process, then it sounds complicated, but trust me it's not. You can drag the notes up and down the scale with the mouse and you hear them as you drag. Simply drop it in the right place. You can change the length of the notes, volume, timing, etc... with basic computer commands like editing a document or spreadsheet. Sometimes it's easier to do this than to get all setup to play it live and have to go back with overdubs later in the process. But......if I really needed it done top notch, I'd hire you! My preference is always live musicians, but when you just crank out one song every now and then, and you work on it a few hours here and there, you learn to improvise. Thanks for the compliment.

Thanks for the detailed info Rick. I have no experience with recording. I did buy some gear (Studio One and PreSonus AI) in December and will unpack it when I have 4-5 focused hours to set it up and start getting an understanding.
You wouldn’t want to hire me to play upright. I never learned it but I do have a Godin hollow body fretless with tape wounds strings that has a pretty convincing tone.
Always enjoy your projects. Thanks for sharing them. _________________ Bill Cunningham

I use Presonus equipment and Studio One. I think you'll enjoy it once you get into it. Look forward to hearing some of your work.
