Eminence TT15!!!
I've previously owed the Eminence EPS 15 and a Telonics 15 and they just didn't do anything for me. I've tried the Eminence 12 inch speakers branded for (I forget the name) and they're ok, but not great. I tried an Eminence/Telonics 12 and it's great for guitar but far too shrill for PSG.
Then I put a TT15 in a Milkman Mini Pedal Steel amp {the 40 watt guy} and it sounds great. Plus it's light.
Then I put a TT15 in a repurposed Twin Reverb cabinet and powered it with a Dual Showman, and again it sounds great. I needed 4 ohms to make the amp happy, and the TT15 obliged.
I think the Travis Toy (TT) series speakers are worth looking at.
BTW: I love the Eminence/Paul Franklin speakers but they are a bit heavy, and I'm getting old, and I don't have anyone to carry my gear.

I have not tried the TT12. I wanted 4 ohms and that only comes in the 15 inch version.

| I put a 15" TT speaker in my Quilter Steelaire some time ago and I love it. While I was at it I reversed the grommets an rear mounted the speaker just for fun. I don't know if I gained or lost anything by doing that, but it sure sounds good and gives me all the bass I could ask for. They are a great speaker for any amp that uses a 4 ohm 15. Like any new speaker, you should not pass judgement until you have given it time to break in a bit. I use a drum machine to speed up the process, works well if your neighbors can handle it. |

Glad you fellas are enjoying the speakers. They were 100% designed from scratch by myself and Anthony Lucas, who was Eminence’s speaker design guy at the time. I spent a TON of time getting them the way I wanted them to be. Cheers!

| Sounds great but all reputable sources are back-ordered indefinitely, so I'm still 10 lbs heavier with a k130. Wonderful that there is a new product, but sadly for many of us it remains vaporware. |

I have attempted to purchase from Eminence but they will not sell to retail customers. If they only have 48 in stock thay may be rationing them.
I have attempted to purchase the TT15 from Sweetwater, Musicians Friend, B&H, and all of the retail outlets within 100 miles on the dealers list posted by Eminence. Parts Express did not have one when I inquired a few weeks ago and could not give me an ETA at that time. I shall try again. |

The first Neo speaker I liked was the Eminence EPS-15C. It was a clone (response and power) of a Peavey 1501 BW which was a high power clone of the JBL D130.
The second is the TT12 in the Quilter TT12 combo amp.
The Telonics TSNEO 12 comes in a close second to the TT12 and even beats it in my comparison tests between the Telonics and the TT12 mounted in a Nashville 112 amp. |

Anybody know what the TC Furlong neo speaker was? Appears to be an Eminence but it has no model name or number. I bought one here on the forum and I'm trying it in my Quilter Mach 3. Although ears are supreme, I'm curious to see a graph on these speakers. I can look at side-by-side charts of the TT12 and the OEM Celestion Copperback and I'm wondering what the Furlong chart looks like. I'm tempted to buy a TT but not if it graphs similarly to the Furlong.
edited to add that I've learned more -- it is indeed an Eminence, Model TCFC-12N . Can't find any info on the Emi site. Just want to see the graph to compare with the TT. And I'd love to hear anybody's impressions if they've been able to compare them. |

| Well, just bought (and received) the last TT12 from Parts Express at a small store-wide discount. First impression is that I like it. Maybe a lot. The bottom end has a nice thump to it but it seems considerably less murky or boomy than the Celestion Copperback & the TC Furlong Emi neo. The highs are less icy than the Celestion and I expect it to break in even warmer. This seems like it was a good move and if it can make me even happier with the Mach 3 than I was, that makes me a happy sucker. |

| I have a TT12 in the Allen Encore amp kit I built. It's great for steel but not bright enough or voiced well for my Tele. I'm going to try out the TT12 with my TT15 combo tonight and maybe even run both together. I've pretty much decided on putting an Eminence Patriot Cannabis Rex in the Allen for standard guitar and selling the TT12. |
