Just bought an MSA classic S10 and would love to know when it was made. Can't seem to find any info on how the serial number work. The number is 1C5316. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Go to MSA web site and send them an E-mail. They have all the old classic records. David Wright and Kyle Bennett have been great at finding Classic Serial Numbers.

A rough guess would be around August of '76, but the MSA guys should be able to give you an exact date.

Any idea what the birthday would be for guitar serial number 1C1595?? Has two control knobs on back apron, looks to be a dark brown wood grain mica with white trim, cassic model?? Thanks for any help! Sticker on underside says assembled by Bud Carter...

I own two MSA Classics. First is a double 10, number 2C5116.. The other is a SD, number 2C379. Looking for the year, they were built. Also would lack a source for parts to add right knee right lever.

Thanks, David. Have a great weekend. By the way, I love my MSA. The double neck I own since 1982 and I acquired the SD about a year ago. Thanks for your help.

Thank you so much! I suspected it was in that range just didn’t know exactly where. The two guitars look very similar on the undercarriage. Very nice mechanics and stays in tune. Great instrument

AS a teenager I drooled over the MSA models pictured in Tom Bradshaw's sales publication.

Usually going out to a restaurant or the likes works well.
