I embarked upon a major clean..lube...adjust...and came up with something
that had bothered me about the look of the guitar for a long time. The screws
on the roller nut chassis. So this is what I did. It would have taken major force to get them out and there wasnt any good reason to go there.....those caps are from the ace hrdwr...and they are real chrome....the guitar came out above expectations......(see what you made me do Erv)👌🏻

Always wondered why more steel makers didn't put the logo in the center like Rus-ler; looks much better that way.

Yeah, I bought it New in 76'.
It's got hours and hours and mile and miles of playing time on it.
But, it still plays great and sounds great too!

After going through the guitar as much as I could and cleaning and such...I was always searching for the right tuning for it. This is the way its going to be I think. All comments welcome. God Bless all here.

I just brought home a Rus-ler D10. The Es are lowered with the RL lever. Is that the way all of them are made?

John, I'd recommend the standard lowering of the 9th to C# with the lowering of the second.
Randy, lowering E's on R/L is contempory with Sho-buds. L/R is contempory with Emmons.

That makes sense. I played an Emmons for 25 years. I really love the tone I'm getting on this guitar.

I want to get rid of the lowered Bs and get the 9th lowered and also the 6. I think I'll be able to steal parts from the Bs to use for the other two, (although I've never done this kind of change).

I'm looking at those rollers. Did they have bearings?

I'm not sure Paul. Chuck Black can probably answer that.
