Hey Steelers! I have a Hilton Volume pedal- probably about 15 years old. It suddenly stopped working. Is there a part inside that might need replacing?

Thanks in advance for the assistance!

I've never been inside a Hilton but I've read several times that there is a piece of material that the optical sensor reads as it moves -- not sure if the piece or the sensor moves -- that can become dislodged. If the sensor doesn't read the motion, well, that's everything. So you might open it up and find this loose piece.
A forum search might tell you what to do with it, how to affix it.

Much better than all that is to get instructions directly from Keith Hilton.
Might be possible to avoid having to send him the pedal.

Like most electronic devices, the biggest failure is the power supply.

If you have the model with the permanently attached Motorola power supply, contact Hilton.
If you have a newer model with detachable power supply, there are two different power supplies that I'm aware of. You can get a replacement from Hilton or on the open market, just make sure it has identical voltage, connector and connector polarity.

It was the power supply. The pedal works perfectly now that I have a new power supply from Keith Hilton. Great volume pedal IMO.

Oops; posted to the wrong thread. But the power supply is the first thing to check.
