Anyone ever run an Emmons push pull through a ShoBud Christmas Tree Amp?
I never have tried, but I play pp's and have a ShoBud amp. Today, I tried it for the first time. My Emmons is a 1968 #1224. I play it with Evans amps and love the sound. A friend has a late 60s Standel that I tried the pp through and loved it. But I can't seem to get the right sound on the Christmas Tree amp. Seems really trebly, even more so with the normally crisp sounding Emmons pp. I keep moving the bass and treble controls all over but seems like a treble or metalic sound is all I get. Weird.

Try some different cables in the circuit, From the guitar to the amp.
Some amps require different cables in the sound chain.

There is some Posts here in the Electronics Section about cables that may help in your problem.

Good Luck in your search for That Sound.
