A great Dobro that I've enjoyed owning and playing, but I really need to reduce my collection of instruments. This one was previously owned by Peggy Stoneman, wife of Jimmy Stoneman, bass player in the Stoneman Family Band. She sold it in the 1990s, late in life, and that buyer sold it to Forum member Steve Lipsey, who in turn sold it to me. Very nice condition for a 50-year-old instrument, the normal wear and tear for a well-loved instrument.

Thanks Ricky, I don’t know if it’s true, but a couple of people have indicated that this is achieved by a sandblasting process- it is an interesting treatment.
