My Goodrich L-120 passive volume pedal has had an issue for a little while where when I first plugged it in, it would be on full volume no matter where it was in the throw, with a little light pressure at the heel of the pedal, however, it would be operational. It went out on a gig on me entirely on Saturday and has been at full volume since then. I restrung the pedal, but the problem has not been resolved. BTW, I bought the pedal new from Goodrich in April/May 2021.
Here is a video of the issue - I am moving the pot between full on and full off and nothing is happening (although it is slightly louder and brighter when in the fully on position). Any advice?

| Either the internal wires have somehow shorted or the pot itself is a goner. Examine all the wiring to make certain they are not touching at the jack or the pot, if all is in order there it's time to contact Mr. Bradshaw for a new Dunlop pot. |

| I would check for a bad connection on the ground side of the pot. If the pot is not connected on the ground side, it will only be a variable series resistor, which would have the symptoms you are experiencing, the slight change in tone at the end. It's likely a bad connection at one end of the wire that connects the pot to the ground side of one of the jacks. The fact that it was intermittent supports this theory. It could be the pot itself (bad internal connection) but that's less likely. Examine and wiggle the wire connections while the pot is in the off position and see if the signal cuts in and out. |
