| I just bought a used NV 112 form a forum member, got it yesterday and plugged it in and turned it on and have a big 'buzz' any ideas ? |

Probably a cold solder joint. Turn the reverb off and hit the top of the amp a few times and see if it goes away.
Also, try a patch cable between the preamp out and power amp in on the back of the amp.
These are the 2 most common problems with this amp.
If neither work, I suggest a Peavey repair person. Ken is great, although he stays very busy.

I’d take Bills advice about the patch cable.
Ken has requested no PMs for Peavey tech advice.
Ken’s been extremely generous with the steel community the past few decades,
And knows his stuff. I think we all appreciate Ken’s many contributions.
Hes busy, but has his own shop . You might inquire about having him address your service needs. He’s worked on my Peavey gear in the past , and it was money well spent.
He does great work !! |
