I am new to this forum.
I am looking for input on what I can use to make my pedal steel guitar sound like a fiddle, saxophone, organ, piano, etc. Currently I have a Roland GR20 but it is made for an electric guitar 6 string. I would like a box that does not set on the floor. The Roland GR20 pickup does not adjust to the strings on my steel guitar. Thanks for any response.

There was a unit made about 30 years ago. Its been out of out of production for years.
Best option I know of is the Roland that you have. I know of one steeler, with an SD10 Sho Bud that has one. I don't know which strings he uses. |

I have a boss sy-1. It is a box that sets on the floor but it tracks the steel great. I had a roland unit years ago with the pickup for electric guitar. The boss sy-1 is much easier to use. The sy-1 is fun to play with on steel but I usually go back to just using reverb or delay. |

Check out some of the Electro Harmonix pedals. B9, C9, Mel9 etc. Might not be what you’re going for but they definitely alter the tone in a big way without needing midi pickups. _________________ https://www.facebook.com/ggefell/ |
