A tragedy.
Peter was a super talent, on and off stage, and a really nice person.
I will miss him.

This is a big and tragic loss for the country music world. He really did bridge musical generations, and there are not anywhere near enough people out there doing that. There's been so much tragedy the last few years, but losing someone like this at 52 from a fall is hard to fathom.
RIP Peter. |

A fine writer and musician. And like myself, a fellow hardcore baseball fan. We had some fun exchanges on Facebook. Gone way too young.
Rest In Peace Peter Cooper. _________________ Mark |

There’s this version of the Herb Pedersen classic “Wait a Minute” from 2011 with Peter, Eric Brace and Mike Auldridge that I might like even more than when the original Seldom Scene first put it on the map in the 1970’s.

OMG, this is a shock and a real tragedy. A multi-talent in singing, writing and teaching. That leaves a big hole.
My condolences and prayers to his family.

What a loss!
Peter Cooper's album entitled The Lloyd Green album is one of my favorite albums of all time. Not just because of Lloyd's stellar steel playing but the way in which his playing complemented the great songs written by Peter Cooper. _________________ Show Pro SD10 guitars

Ughhh... Just this morning saw a reference to Peter's passing by a commenter to a post regarding Mike Auldridge's birthday that Jerry Douglas put on his Facebook page. Nearly 10 years after we lost Mike, one of his biggest fans and promoters has passed tragically at too young an age. This has been a truly rough couple of years in terms of losses of our friends. RIP Peter Cooper and my thoughts are with his family and friends (Eric Brace). _________________ John Brabant

So sorry to hear of Peter's passing. Great songwriter. If you haven't checked out his album, "The Lloyd Green Album," do so immediately. It's like a master class in uber-creative pedal steel guitar fills. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION
