What is a good stereo amplifier for pedal steel?
Id like it to be rack mountable and currently in production, and to have an fx loop. _________________ Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous; praise is meet for the upright. I have a rack-mounted Telonics system which I would recommend.

I also have Telonics speakers but you could use anything you like. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

The Stereo Steel is a great amp for steel, and while it is out of production, GD Walker is still repairing them if needed, I think. I don't think you could do much better than the Telonics that Ian suggests, but the Stereo Steel is much more affordable - some good deals currently on the forum. _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

Pretty much any two amps with a stereo reverb/deley will sound great. |

For a while I used a stereo reverb and a pair of Fender 112 deLuxes. They sounded terrible. But I take Pete's point. He meant pretty much any two suitable amps. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I have a Telonics stereo mini-rack with 2-15s that I would sell.
Pre-wired for fast set up and tear down.
Very lightweight and has plenty of horsepower. ^_^

I've been using the Stereo Steel amp with two 15"" speaker cabinets recent.y replaced with Paul Franklin speakers. I also have a TC Electronics M-300 processor. The system is my go to system when playing gigs. Plenty of power and clarity.
Unfortunately, you have to carry three pieces plus your steel and seat. |
