Just an FYI - Andy DePaule has a long-scale cast aluminum 8-string with Bigsby-style pickup and polished bare (not black) top for sale (or trade for a short-scale) here - https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=384770

I had good experience dealing with Andy recently. As far as Todd's lap and console steels go - I like mine more than anything I've played, bar none (no pun intended). To my tastes, the tone and sustain are beyond great.
