Too many guitars, one has to go. I believe this guitar is a 1977 (serial #11642), Sho-Bud LDG. I bought this guitar last year mostly in pieces thinking I would restore it. Time and lack of knowledge put an end to that so I took it to Jeff Surratt at Show-Pro, he did a lot of work on the guitar and I picked it up in October of 2021. He replaced the changer fingers with aluminum pinned fingers which eliminated the original wedge fingers; that made a ton of difference in the tone of the guitar. Jeff cleaned, lubed and re-assembled the changer, re-rodded the guitar and replaced the nylon tuning nuts. He fashioned a new pad with the Sho-Bud logo and cleaned up the cabinet and polished all metal as best he could resulting in the guitar you see today. 2 up 2 down changer and 2 hole pullers.

The cabinet is the faded green/brown that you see on many of these guitars. There are scrapes and scratches on the rear of the cabinet and at the top of the pad you can see where the old pad was along with an assortment of bar dings. My original thought was to refinish the cabinet but the expense was prohibitive and Jeff convinced me to get the guitar up and running and then decide on a refin. Ultimately, his finisher would have used a poly coat over stain or paint and I wanted to stay with nitro. I've grown to like the looks of the guitar as is.

There is a serviceable case that's tattered around the hinges and someone has added some metal pieces around the bottom of the case. The pickup is an XR-16, sounds great and the guitar is a tone machine and plays well for a 45 year old guitar.

Looking to get $2,650 for the guitar. It would be my preference to avoid shipping and would consider driving a reasonable distance from Wichita, KS to meet or deliver the guitar. If it comes down to shipping we can discuss it at the buyer's cost (Continental US only). I would accept Paypal with the addition of the fee, check (must clear or be certified funds), or money order. PM me and I can provide my phone number if you have questions or wish to talk about the guitar or sale.
