I just got my Hilton volume pedal and the tone that it gives my student model GFI is really astonishing. From the lowest notes to the highest notes, it sounds like a new guitar- so clear and rich. But also, it is extremely loud. I have yet to mess with the volume knob or off point on the back because I don't know what would be the best levels. When I put the pedal to the floor, you can hear a little crackle too, maybe this is because it is so loud?

Congrats, I have or have tried about everything out there, the Hilton pedal is the only item I would never be without. Now shoot for Brad Sarno's Black Box.

Matt,
You certainly made the correct choice in volume pedals! Keith makes a great product and stands behind it 100%.... I believe he presets the pedals for optimum performance, so you may want to try it awhile before attempting any adjustments.

Congrats on getting your new Hilton pedal, Matt. I'm looking forward to hearing you play - I was disappointed when didn't bring the steel to Vitae.

Matt-- Like they said, try it and get used to it first before any adjustments. My only comment on adjustments would be--be sure Keith has it set so it is not entirely off when up. In other words with the pedal is up and off- you should be getting a light "leak through" of volume. This will smooth out your picking quite a lot while learning. Good luck - you have the best from a great guy !!-
