| I just got my Hilton volume pedal and the tone that it gives my student model GFI is really astonishing. From the lowest notes to the highest notes, it sounds like a new guitar- so clear and rich. But also, it is extremely loud. I have yet to mess with the volume knob or off point on the back because I don't know what would be the best levels. When I put the pedal to the floor, you can hear a little crackle too, maybe this is because it is so loud? |

Congrats, I have or have tried about everything out there, the Hilton pedal is the only item I would never be without. Now shoot for Brad Sarno's Black Box.

Matt,
You certainly made the correct choice in volume pedals! Keith makes a great product and stands behind it 100%.... I believe he presets the pedals for optimum performance, so you may want to try it awhile before attempting any adjustments. |

Matt-- Like they said, try it and get used to it first before any adjustments. My only comment on adjustments would be--be sure Keith has it set so it is not entirely off when up. In other words with the pedal is up and off- you should be getting a light "leak through" of volume. This will smooth out your picking quite a lot while learning. Good luck - you have the best from a great guy !!-  |
