Recently, i purchased a Fender Tone/Volume pedal, but unfortunately, the 50 year old strings stretched out to the point of non-functionality. I attempted to have it restrung here in Winnipeg, Canada, but to no avail. Can anyone here recommend someone that has experience with these? |

I managed to tighten the strings by pulling the knotted end out out of the body through the hole, I think I might have unhooked the spring first, and tying a new knot about an inch down from the original. |

The pedal is quite tricky to get in proper working order, but with patience it can be done. It sound like you just need to untie the knot at the spring and then re-tie it with a little more spring tension - but not too much. I find that it's best to get the string wound correctly around the pots and pullies and then tie it off to the springs last. |
