I have a Sho-bud Pro III I just got on the forum and it is too high. I'd like to get it lowered by about an inch or an inch and a half.
Ideally: there would be someone I could send the legs and the rods to and get back shortened legs and rods I could use.
Is there anyone who does this service I could ship the legs and rods off too? Thanks |

Any local machine shop should be able to do it. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 54 years and still counting. |

I have zero idea where I would find a machine shop where I live. If anyone knows anyone specific who works on steels who can do this work, let me know. |

Might consider just buying a new set of legs and rods if required. The guitar will be more attractive with a standard set if you should choose to sell at a later date.
Before doing anything, just verify that you're sitting at the steel correctly and everything else is in order.

Just to bring this thread to a conclusion, as I mentioned, I was looking for someone I could just mail the legs and rods to and they would shorten them and mail them back.
I found just that: Kudos to Bill Rudolph at Williams Guitar. I shipped the legs and rods off, they turned it around, did the work, and sent them back within a single day of receiving them. I get the shortened rods and legs from fedex tomorrow. |

Thanks to the great folks at Williams, I now have a shorter Sho-bud. Fits perfectly now. My first D10.
