Hey y'all - there's been a few posts on the forum about upgrading the chips in the Peavey Nashville 112 amp - but I just want to add another one and say I highly recommend doing this if you haven't!

I ordered the upgrade chips from Ken Fox - easy install and I immediately noticed a much better tone - brighter high ends, overall cleaner sound, and for some reason that I don't understand, I swear I'm getting less string noise.

Here's the link to buy the chip kit from Ken (helpful instructions included) - it's the "Nashville 112 kit" at the top: http://foxvintageamps.com/classic_green_011.htm

And here's a YouTube video I find on how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQ-54ocynx0&t=206s

I've only been learning for a couple years but tone frustrations with this amp have honestly been a big hurdle...still don't love the Peavey, but definitely excited about the improvement!

Edited to add - as Ken noted recently in a separate post - this install is only easy if you have a made-in-USA version of the amp - FYI: https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=385285

Travis,
Just installed Ken’s Mod in my 2003 Nashville 112 and yes, a better tone with increased clarity in the highs! A fantastic amp already and the mod has just made it better IMHO…👌. Thanks Ken….Carl
