Special 130 Power Caps / Jack Burnishing Technique

Can somebody tell me if the Special 130 uses just two filter caps for the power section?

In addition, for those who've burnished input jacks, can you describe the technique you used?

Don, I use a 2" or 3" piece of 1/8" rod and tape an approximately 1" x 1" piece of 400 or 600 grit sandpaper to the end of it, basically making it a flapper wheel. I put it in a Dremel tool and run it at a fairly low speed and work it in and out of the jack 3 or 4 times. It cleans the contacts and the sleeve nicely.

Here's the power input section of a Peavey Special 130, I count two caps on the primary side of the transformer, three on the +/-42V supply, and five on the +/-16V supply.

The two .01 mfd caps (C57 & C58) in the secondaries are not filter caps, they're "snubber" caps that help protect the rectifier bridge diodes from transient voltage spikes. They can also help to reduce noise in some situations.
