Hi all! Me, again.
I just changed my strings, and as I tuned up, I've realized that my lower G# won't pull to A. If I adjust the nylon nut, it will tune to the pitch, with the pedal pressed, but it never falls back to what I tuned the open string to. I have the steel flipped. I see the higher G rod has some play/slack, and the lower has none. The changer doesn't pull each evenly. I'm not totally naive, Just need a pointer in the right direction. I'd really like to get someone to set this up professionally, and let me help/do it/watch in return for cash. Thanks y'all. |

False alarm. I inspected the changer and noticed a bind. Oiled, and that restored the function. I had a two-fold issue, my pull rod wasn't giving me a full pull and the nylon nut had stripped the first couple threads. Adjusted that, cut the nut a little, and tapped for more engagement. Works fine now.
I don't know if it exists, but we should have a youtube resource for repairs here. I treated this like voodoo, but now I feel a little more confident. |

This is exactly what I was encountering, I may make a video on this now. It's an easy mistake to make. |

Did you change strings from a Plain 6th string to a wound 6th string? This could have started the problem, It takes a longer pull to reach the target note, Than with a wound string. |
