Thinking of putting quick connect /disconnect on GFI . Where would I find them to fit on GFI rods?

Are you talking about the ball joint connectors used on early GFI's, the same as what Franklin and several others use? Michael Yahl sells these.

OTOH do you want to convert the older style to the current mount with a thumbscrew?

I've had both kind, a 2000 year GFI Ultra D-10 with the old style ball joint connectors and now have a new GFI with the current type with thumbscrew. Given a choice I like the ball joint type.

You want the 90 degree version like the picture.

I'm away from my GFI at the moment, but almost certainly #10/32

This is what Jack is talking about.
This is what the pedal rod connectors look like on my GFI S12 Keyed and Keyless. They even have numbers on them, Easy to put on.

Thanks. I’m not sure I fully understand this…. I assume the thumb screw somehow accommodates the moment in the connection point but I’m not sure how.

That is the "new" style, not the older ball joint style.

Here is the ball joint style

I like the ball-joint, but I have new one and I have had a couple of the 8/32 screws break. Bob has been very helpful. I could be the problem, but I may change to the ball joint.

There is a plastic/nylon cylinder with a grove in the middle, On the pedal. When the thumb screw is tightened till shoulder is firm against the connector, The thumb screw end is free to slide in grove for pedal movement.
