Letting go of the crown jewel of my little stash to support my wife's ministry, Samaritan Ministries, Operation Christmas Child. If you're not familiar you really should be! https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/mission-and-history/
I've had this Panda for about 6 years. It's a nice one, though the tuners are not original. 1-1/4" wide PU.

Since this is getting zero interest, I must be out of line with my asking price, so I was wondering what you guys think it's value is, as-is? |

You are not out of line. This is an appropriate price in todays market. |

Since the OP asked.
A pre-WWII B7 will yield about $2000 (I believe tha WAS the original asking price on above guitar, or did I misread?).
Every generation after that, will be less. 6 string always considerably less than 7.
Here, we're talking POST war B6, narrow pickup, "T"-Logo guitar.
NOT a bad guitar, but unlikely to find a new home around $2000 in my opinion, except if she get's picked up by a buyer confused or unaware of the different models history and values.
Frankly, I must say, I bought my Rickies all almost 25 years ago.
My 1932 Fripan was a bargain at $1200 in the late 90’s... it will probably bring just shy of $2000 now... with the original matching amp I found later maybe just over $3000?
My pre-WWII B7 was a "gift" from Wayne Tanner (a friend of Jerry Byrd's) for $800.oo in 1999 and would probably find a new home around $2000 today too.
The only post WWII "Arrow-Flap"-Logo I've had sold about 20 years ago for $570 because I had a Super-Model Girl hold'er on her sweet legs on ebay.... so today MAYBE also double that IF you find a slender Super Model, 18 to hold her! Since that quality of girls becomes more difficult to come across... maybe just over $1000?
All in all, given the US currency decline (falling below the EUR of which it was way beliw the EUR then) and the depreciation of money in general, inflation etc... it's been a loosing "investment", but they are great playing guitars.
I can't believe an original Fripan, the first electric guitar type instrument build commercially EVER is still lagging way behind some lousy tushie Fender Strat from the 80's. But Culture and History is one thing, Pop "Art" another.

If anyone has a pre-war B7 for $1200 contact me immediately!!
$1200 is a fair price for a post war B6 in good condition. I check several websites daily and things seem to be moving slow lately. |
