I have an Emmons P/P and broke the return spring on my LKL that lowers my low E. Is there anyone out there within a couple hours of Fort Myers, FL that can do the repair? Thanks in advance.

The only place I know of is Bondz Music in Wildwood. Its a couple of hours drive north. I75 and SR44 exit.
Both the store owner, Johnny Bondz, and the manager, JR Reich, are steel players.
JR does most of the repairs.

Phone 352-748-5048

They are on Facebook.

I have taken my steel to Bondz for work. You will probably have to leave it and pick up at a later date depending what is needed. They do a good job

I had a PP, long time ago. Don't remember that spring but check ACE Hardware as most have a good variety of springs. Maybe find one that will work. Save a trip.

Alternately, you can steal a spring from a string that has no lowers. You'd need to crank the lower tuning screw all the way in -- on my guitar it has a mix of longer & shorter screws so I don't know which is original or most common -- if yours are too short you may need to bring one to the hardware store and match it with a longer one.
