| Looking for an aluminum 10 string key head. Wanting to build a 10 string non pedal steel. something like an Emmons, Sho-Bud, Carter. Let me know what you got and a picture. Would prefer a smaller in size like a carter. |

David,
I have a key head that I removed from an Emmons student model guitar that you might be able to use for your project.
It's pretty much the same as a pro model key head, except that it's not polished and the area that mounts the rollers has been shaved off and slotted level with the rest of the head. It's set up for Kluson tuning keys. I could supply a set of used keys along with it if required, but I'm probably not able to provide the rollers and axle.
If you think you can use this, let me know and I'll take a couple of photos of it for you.

I have a 10=string keyhead from a Fender 800 with working Kluson Deluxes, if that would suit your needs.

David what kim is saying is that you can get a complete carter polished key head with roller nut and tuning keys ready to go from AL. if you go to his web site Steel guitars of Canada...then into guitars then into parts for steel guitars. It will bring up his carter catalog and you will see them there. you then can contact Al or just ad them to your cart.I hope this helps
