Typically understated, yet brimming with confidence. Buddy could play that style of E9 to perfection, yet always with the odd moment 'out of the box' with flat 3rds and 5ths for that Emmons nuance.

I always wonder about great singers I’ve never heard of showing up on random A-Team YouTubes like this. Greg Trostle was a singer in Pirates Of The Mississippi, so he wasn’t one of Buddy’s “Tex Nobody” types that he just happened to end up on stage with. That bluesy solo sits perfectly with the song, and you can hear some of the crowd and bandmember reaction to it.
