Hi,
In my hometown Utrecht [the Netherlands] there is a Fender 400 for sale,
https://dirkwitte.nl/products/fender-1960s-pedal-steel-guitar-400-blond
It looks really good and I am going to the shop for a test, if it's great what would be a fair price?
I have been reading posts concerning the Fender 400 in the past, and never saw the price they are asking for it: €2995,00
I believed a realistic price would be between $1000-1500, am i right or have these prices gone up that high?
I'd really appreciate your view on this!
Thanks!
Andre

Asking(!) prices for Fender pedal steels have recently jumped up to absurd levels. Not sure what can be done about that except wait to see if they come down to reality. I used to get them for $100-300, admittedly a fabulous deal(but they’d usually been sitting in a basement or attic for 30 years and needed lots of rehab).

Yes, I'd call that high. Prices of just about everything are inflated now, and it's not a good time to buy houses, used cars, or used instruments. Winking
