Man of Mystery as recorded by the Shadows in 1960. Played on a Rickenbacker S-100 Lap Steel guitar. C6 tuning CEGACE low to high. Backing created with a drum track (courtesy of YouTube), tenor ukulele and a Ukulele style bass.
I hope you all enjoy,
Mike.

I think you may have misunderstood my post Mike? All I meant was, in every video we only see you from below the shoulders. Vids from the shoulders down isn't unique to you, Doug B. does the same thing. Maybe you guys are so good looking you just don't want anyone to be distracted from the lap steel playing? Is that Ric a new addition or have you had it for a while? Whoa!

Cool, Mike! You're getting a nice surf-exotica sound from that Rick. I like the slapback delay on the steel, very 50's sounding. The world needs more of this style of steel playing.

Thanks Doug. You are right. This surf style of music really suits the steel guitar. In the UK in the 60s pre the Beatles the Shadows where really popular. Those catchy simple tunes are timeless. Maybe there should be a forum surf challenge. Might be a bit of fun!Very Happy .
