Since the guitars are now 10 grand I guess this price is comparable but it should be a complete switch with the toggle switch and tone knob , maybe that’s an extra 50 bucks!

Let's see if I can smooth this one over a bit. I try to choose my words carefully but I'm starting to realize it may just be better to be a silent observerver in most matters these days. I bought a car 5 years ago and can sell it today for exactly what I paid for it but wouldn't be able to replace it for the same money, so why bother? same deal with my house and I see tons of instruments that also sell used for what they once cost brand new. I guess that's just the state of affairs due to The Pandemic, inflation, supply & demand or any other reason one can choose. Thus my comment. I'm not singling out any company for their current prices or grass roots wheeler dealer for the same thing, just making a comparison that points out the obvious fact that this will not sustain itself, so just to be clear..that's all my comment was meant to reflect.

I've made several of these plates for my customers for there converted Emmons steels
It takes me awhile too do the milling an measurement's.

I keep the original plate with the toggle switch installed for my labor. ::: the customer gets the correct plate for his converted Emmons.

Why Emmons choose to cut a hole in there cabinet an put a plate over the large hole is a mystery too me.

I like the Mullen design.

The control panel helps keep the lighter wood D10 Emmons cabinet straight and spread apart. Which is why Emmons changed from controls in the side of the neck on the early guitars to a control panel. And, why the wood neck Wraparound Bolt-Ons from October 1964 had such a long control panel. Remember, double 10/12 Emmons necks are not supposed to be glued together. They are meant to be adjusted for maximum width.

Would be expensive at a machine shop.

Coming from a machinist point of view; seems like a very fair price, and you get a selector switch!
