Here’s my stab at his way cool solo on Jackson Browne’s Take it Easy. This goes out to Jim Palenscar….. thanks Jim. We were doing the Eagles arrangement but with the Sneaky solo (starts at 1:47). This is with the MXR Phase 95 in the “90” mode.

Nice job.. Pretty close to the original. Thats one that I worked hard on over the years, and although I like how it comes out, I think yours is truer to the original than mine . I always thought the original on the album was done with old school manual tape flanging by the engineer, as it always seemed to me that more than just the steel part was "swooshing", but I think I read Pete used a plain old Phase 45 or something.. Not so sure about that.. In any case, a nice take on one of the great pedal steel solos of all time.... bob

Nicely done.
I have to say something about your band’s very pro-looking stage setup. All the amps mic’d, lined up, and tilted back at the same angle looks really sharp and I bet it sounds great. One of the bands I play in is 7 pieces and our stage is always a gawdawful mess.

Thanks guys. It’s always nice to have a roomy stage Fred, but when we get jammed into the corner of some little club, it’s not pretty.
