Novice question probably, but A freind of mine in Arizona has a Zum Encore with shorter than standard legs and wants to have a standard length set for me to play occassionally. I checked with Doug and he doesnt have any to spare...as I recall the pedal bar attaches thru holes in the front legs. I am ordering the rods from him. If I have a regular set of legs, would it be possible to have someone locally drill them to fit the Encore pedal bar. I am not sure if all threads are created equally and if they would work in the Encore body.
thanks in advance _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp

I extended the legs & rods on my Encore with rod extenders & spacers on the legs between the top of the pedal bar and the leg adjusting collar. Made them out of the size aluminum tubing that slips over the smaller lower leg portion. I don’t think drilling new holes will help you. Your pedal bar will be slipping up toward the leg adjusters when you press pedals. |

In other words you can use the longer pedal rods from Doug & just apply the leg spacers to his original legs. |
