Just got this Fluger. I always wanted one.
Does anyone know any background on Marv, the builder, & the history around the brand?

Marv started by making these hollow neck resophonics, then began building the dobro simulator guitars for Marrs. They looked similar but had no resonator, being built specifically for big stage application to get dobro sounds with no feedback. Marv also made lap steels and experimented with string bender systems. He built several custom instruments for me. He’s retired now and is no longer making guitars.

Hopefully yours is in much better shape than the Fluger I had. I purchased one in the mid 2000’s and it had very shoddy construction. One of the few times I returned a steel within in minutes of receiving it. I can only assume mine was an anomaly.

Marv built one for me. Its Brazilian rosewood back and sides with a spruce top, Martin herringbone inlays. I love it and Marv is a great guy!!!!
