I recently acquired a beautiful Gibson BR-4 which came with an original case, but I need something newer and sturdier to take this guitar on the road. Does anyone know of a case that would be a fit?

It fits in the TKL gig bag perfectly. Not sure if that'd provide enough protection, but the bag is well made and has served mine well.

Thanks! Looking at the TKL website, I see a line of “Vectra gig bags”, in various sizes. Do you the one made for electric guitars, or something smaller?

The TKL looks great, but it appears to be out of stock. I emailed the TKL folks to ask when it might be available again, but haven't gotten a reply. There's one on ebay, but it's twice the price. I guess I'll give the rifle case a try. Thanks for the suggestions, all!

I like the Nc Star cases alot; I have around a dozen of 'em in different colors. A year or so back, you could get 'em for about twenty bucks a pop delivered, but alas, those days are apparently long gone...

I would go on Musicians Friend.
They always have a variety of cases to choose from.
I needed a large case for a Oahu acoustic guitar and they had one.
I don't like those soft cases, not much protection.

Most of my lap steels fit perfectly in baritone ukulele cases. Easy enough to grab one at your local Guitar Center and return it if it doesn’t fit.
