Whoa! I JUST shipped my GFI to the factory from FL with 3k insurance and it was $122 via FedEx! That is across the entire country!

I have to pay for packing materials and for them to pack it as well, but based on your price, the quote I got still seems very high.

I simply wrapped my steel case in cardboard and left the handle exposed through the cardboard. I bought a large box from Walmart for $2 and it was plenty of cardboard to wrap the entire steel case and used packing tape to secure the cardboard. It was 51lbs and went in 4 days from FL to MO.
