Hi Folks
What is the best type of glue to put on a homemade sticker to enable it to adhere to a formica surface but yet be easy to remove if needed without leaving a glue mark or at least if it did could be washed off etc.
Was thinking of putting one on my steel .Thanks for looking. |

there's some stuff called Easy Tack, it's spray adhesive for mounting photos, etc., it's removable, repositionable. I've used it on plain 20# bond paper and it doesn't curl or bleed through. _________________ All lies and jest, still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest - Paul Simon |

My wife, in some of her crafts, uses double sided removable tape. It is thin like regular Scotch tape. It holds til you want to remove it and no residue. |

If you do not want it stuck for years. There is the glue used on POST IT NOTES in a stick, Like Chap Stick. I used it a lot in my job to attach things I wanted to stick and easy to remove and clean surface.
Double sided Scotch tape works great. Cleans off easy with Goo Gone. |

I use this too, the Scotch product number is "667" and it's in a yellow dispenser. It's pretty much the stuff on the back of a Post-It note. _________________ Long-time guitar player, now wrestling with lap steel. |

If it's not a permeable paper I use rubber cement. I find it causes less curling. _________________ No chops, but great tone

I had a couple of emblems made for me by a trophy shop. They have self sticking adhesive on them. Trophy shop said to use a hair dryer to heat it a little and pull it off. It worked great and on a lacquered finish guitar. _________________ 1976 Birdseye U-12 MSA with Telonics 427 pickup, 1975 Birdseye U-12 MSA with Telonics X-12 pickup, Revelation preamp, Carbon Copy Delay and Hall Of Fame Reverb, Crown XLS 1002, 2- 15" Eminence Wheelhouse speakers, ShoBud Pedal, Effects Pedals. 1949 Epiphone D-8. |
