Anybody familiar with a '60s Electro with what appears to be a High Gain pickup? I've seen plenty of these with narrow Horseshoes but never with this pickup. It's at a local shop, I might have to go check it out.

Ric came out with the hi-gain pickup around 1968, and they started putting it on lap steels shortly thereafter. Adjustable screw poles are pretty rare on these things, so that's a plus for this one, but they do have considerably less output and fullness of tone than the horseshoes.

Thanks, I'll probably plug it in next time I'm up there, I'm sorta expecting something like a 60s Fender Champ pickup now, good sounding but nothing exciting.
