Hello,
What does everybody use for distortion/dirt/overdrive? I use stomp boxes on a pedalboard, so that's the direction I'm looking, rather than a rack mounted unit.
Thanks friends! |

Hi Jeff, I've been using and like Brad Sarno's Earth Drive pedal. When you want just a little dirt, I find it's easy to blend and the natural tone of the steel still comes through. Kind of like when a tube amp starts to breakup. It works especially well with a tube amp. And, when you increase the drive, it will get you closer to a distortion sound or heavy overdrive. Works great live and in the studio. |

+1 for Earth Drive . I keep it on and vary the distortion amount. Goes from a great clean boost to heavy overdrive |

I’ve tried all sorts of pedals but I always end up back to the original Sans Amp. Now it’s called the the Sans Amp Classic. Once you find the basic sound you like it’s really easy to tweak it from light overdrive all the way to full on madness. |
