Hello friends,

as promised, here is a new video:

As I am getting more and more into Hawaiian Swing and Swing in general there
is no real way around Django Reinhardt, his solo and rhythm playing is just
mindblowing.

Here is my attempt on I'll See you in my Dreams:

please click here---> https://youtu.be/INQnnJxRQis

The tuning I use is A Highbass (Hi to low E C#A E C# A)
Same as Dobro Tuning but one whole step up.
You'll find Tabs and Backingtracks on my website:
https://hawaiian-steel-guitar.com/tabs
Hope you like it 😊!
Aloha

Amazing as always!

I'm going to get the tab & backing track from your site. Can you let me know what gauge strings you use?

Thanks!
David

“For A and C#minor I use the same set of strings:

I use 16/18/22 (all plain) and 30/39/47 (wound). I order the plains as single strings (rather cheap) and use the the lowest 3 basstrings from this set:

Daddario EFT 15”

That Django solo has been burned into my brain forever. There were some particularly very interesting choices made with some of the iconic licks before it becomes more of your thing. The backing track sounds authentic, as well. Yours?

Thank you so much for all the nice comments, very glad you like the new video 😊.
I record all of my backingtracks myself,in this case I was using a Gibson ES175 and a The Loar LH-600.
And thank you Ryan for jumping in regarding the string gauges. Yes, all info is on my website.

Aloha

Sebastian
