Hey all,
Thought I’d show off this Teisco lap steel I just picked up. Kind of a cool little time capsule. Needs new tuners and some love but I’m pretty excited to get it going. Anyone familiar with it at all? Year etc? Not finding much info on it online. Any thoughts appreciated. Cheers

I found a picture of that exact model on Reverb.com. It's listed as a 1955 model 8L. The string packages are really cool. I am wondering what is stamped in the groove of your Stevens bar?

I have a double neck similar design model, EG-NW which I purchased new in 1953 directly from the factory in Tokyo.
I was in school in Japan at the time.
Placed my order and in two weeks picked up the new guitar.
Still have it.

I had that exact same model with the same case...bought it in the late 90s and just sold it a few months ago, after many years of non-use. Nice sounding instrument, very wide string spacing.

Good eye on the bar. It’s a patent number. Has a fair amount of wear on it. Someone played the heck out it!

Wow that’s awesome! They must have had a cool selection of guitars to buy. I love some of the guitar shapes and electronics they used over the years.
