Anyone lower string 4 a whole tone on the C6th neck?

string 4 A the 6th.
Lowring a whole step goes to the 5th,
same as string 5

With P6 it is now F chord FACE,
so lowering A a whole step is G or the II / 9th,
but without the upper III note.
If you spell from below string 9 upwards
it could be
FACEG... but you have that already with open strings
So this seems redandant.

Big E lowers the A to Ab for the augmented of I chord,
and the minor of IV with P6

lower string 5 a whole seems more useful,
gives you the IVmaj7 in root pos, and with p6
V7 2 frets up

Ron-that is a good idea for guys to latch onto. I always lower my string 5 G a whole tone to F. I also lower my string 6 E a whole tone to D on a separate lever. Gives a nice sub-dominant Fmaj6. Also with P5 gives the tonic to the D7 chord down there...Lots of ways to go...al

I used to have that on a knee. Very useful change.

I went to raising the low E to F via pedal 4 when I wanted more knee changes.

I lower 4 1/2, 5 a whole and 6 a whole. Not at the same time, usually

I think if you lower 5 a whole you would also want to lower 4th a 1/2- very useful together.

For the ones who like big fat Chalker major 7th chords and endings going down 3 frets at a time lower the 4th string on the C 6th neack 1/2 tone to A flat.It works for me putting it on a knee lever.Hold the pedal down that takes the 10th string down to A.That changes the C to an A chord as i am sure every one knows.
Then when the 4th string A is lowered to A flat that makes a fat major 7th chord.Chalker useed this a lot.As i don't have the C6th any more i am doing this in my head.If i messed it up some one who is familiar with this please feel free to correct me. Tracy

By the way, Paul Franklin has G to F on a knee; don't know whether he still does.
