I'm looking at buying one of these amps locally and they're in the same ballpark price-wise. This will be mostly staying in the home studio for personal use.

My Vegas 400 came with the 1502 speaker which is abass speaker. Good but not good enough imo. I never bonded with the amp. If it comes with the 1501 shallow basket as many did - then it is probably great as the circuits in that vintage of Peavey amps are pretty standard. Buddy Emmons used a Vegas as did many - includingon his christmas album which is fantastic tone.

The N112 is a great sounding amp provided it has the original Blue Marvel speaker (or better). That speaker has got a bit more honk which I like but some complained about that feature. Its a great six string speaker also.

My opinion is you won't go wrong with either if they have a great sounding speaker that suits your taste.

My favorite steel amp has been a Peavey Heritage VTX roughly based on a Musicman but with two channels - one with Active EQ like Peavey's steel amps.. But correct speaker(s) required - Scorpions don't cut it.. I used the N112 blue marvel speaker. Also tried it with the transitional JBL speaker (M65 or something) that became the 1501 and it was great.

My USA NV112 sounded pretty good stock, and even better with the Ken Fox chips. Not quite like my Session 500 but absolutely good enough for grab & go. Used it most of the time until I got a Half & Half 15" combo, which is 10-15 pounds lighter, so the Milkman gets grabbed and gotten.

But the NV is still in the music room, not relegated to the shed, and I wouldn't hesitate to take it to work if the Half& Half were unavailable.
