I have tried about every finger pick made but I've got to say the Hoffmeyer finger picks are the best! Available through his link here on the Forum. In my case they fit right out of the box with only minor tweaking to fit perfectly. Everyone will of course have their favorites, Nationals, Showcase-41, Dunlop, Propik, or whatever. But, if you haven't tried Hoffmeyer's, you may be missing out.

My faves too. Gotta have the "bowl" on the blade, like the old Nationals or some no-name finger picks I've found in old lap steel cases.
If there's no bowl, for me, the the edge of the blade makes a scraping noise I don't like and I'm not changing my technique to accommodate a flat blade.
Hoffmeyer's are the best, these days. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

Are you guys using the standards or the customs? _________________ 2013 Williams D-10, 2019 Williams D-10, 1970 Fender Twin, Evans SE200, Fender Tonemaster Twin, Hilton pedal, Jagwire Strings. |

I use the 'custom.'
They have a wider band and stay on better -- a too-narrow band is my only complaint about National picks (and all the various knock-offs with that shape) but Hoffmeyer has fixed that issue with the 'custom.' It's a very subtle thing... but it's still a thing. |

Custom for me. I had been using Showcase or Kysers, but the Customs really worked a lot better in my case.

I got a set of Hoffmeyer finger picks last week and I do like them. I have been using brass nationals and I like those too. Either works fine. |

I got a set last week, the custom style, they are great,a lot more comfortable !they setback on the fingers farther than normal picks.feel so loose you think they would fall off but they don’t.I think they are a great product.
