When tuning down to open F what is the relationship to the midlle C on the piano. Which ones do i tune too.

Bass F below middle C...If you mean F,C,F,A,C,F,(open E raised 1/2 step)the fifth string C would be middle C...for F,A,C,F,A,C (Dobro G lowered whole step)....the 4th string would be middle C. A bass A(fifth string) in standard tuning is A below middle C...at least that's how I learned to tune...but after I got a multi-neck 8 string..I DID invest in a 7 octave chromatic tuner...but I only use it for 1 or two strings a neck,(like the root note and the odd flat 7th) then I tune the guitar to itself and my ear(and the tuner will show it's off a few cents, but it sounds better)
