Lord knows I need another guitar like I need a hole in my head, but I don't have a Tele.
For those that have owned one, or both, what did you like?
Not like?
If you had both, which one did you prefer?
Thanks in advance for the replies and information.
FYI:
I believe that the Baja was discontinued in 2018.
The Road Worn was discontinued and replaced with the Vintera series, which also made some slight changes. |

Baja version has a nice feeling v-shape to the neck. Tricky circuitry that lets you combine pickups in parallel or series, in- or out-of-phase. Not certain about the roadworn series, but I think it was mostly the look of an older guitar. Vintera is (supposedly) much closer to the 50's and 60's models they emulate. Telecaster parts are almost infinitely interchangeable, so you can combine specific features and assemble your own. It may be blasphemy to part out an old 50's or 60's Fender guitar, but not so much for a newer model. There is an active market for Telecaster parts, stock and after-market. All of my Telecasters are part-swapped mongrels. |
