I'm having trouble enrolling in Paul Franklin's "Mastering Technique" course online. While I await instruction, does anyone have other recommendations for good places to learn picking technique? I'm an intermediate player at this point, gigging and playing a lot of material, but need refinement in my picking and blocking
Thanks!

I found a lot of Joe Wright videos and courses online that have a lot of picking exercises...

Hi Bryce, I have an instruction video that teaches some of the finer points of pick blocking. If you're interested, please send me a private message. |

Thanks for all the referrals
I got into the Paul Franklin/Tommy White course finally. I got a ton from that, especially on my hand position and blocking (3 part, palm/finger/pick). I've been slowing down the samples and just tons of repetition. It's really moving quickly, and I'm hungry for more picking exercises
I also ordered a 12 string bar (edited) because I think the 10 string (that I just bought) doesn't go far enough back into my palm to be comfortable without my fingers hanging over the end... Seems to make a lot of sense when Paul Franklin talks about this. My fingers are fairly long, so I've found myself bending my index finger awkwardly to compensate like he was talking about in his early days...
Loving the PSG. Getting in 3 hours a day, any my debut with Buckboard Junction is right around the corner on April 9

I own a Fessenden Double 10 with 8 pedals and 5 levers. I am new to steel guitars and want to make sure all my tunings are correct as I learn. What I need is to know what notes all pedals and all levers should bend or lower the syrings to. I have E9 and C6 tunings.
Hoping for help here.
Thank You! |

Bryce, I'm a intermediate player too!(20 years)
Paul Franklin's course is fabulous. The Best!
I have also have learned and hugely improved from Dale Rivard's videos on his website. He has a lot of offerings song wise. They are all very will done.
Good Luck, Terry |
