The Oklahoma Steel Guitar Association will have our jam this Sunday from 1-4 at 11970 S Elm, Jenks, St James Presbyterian Dancer Hall. Those of you who play a steel guitar, join us and those who don’t play, come enjoy the music.
After the jam ends at 4, the ladies of the church are serving soup and dessert at five. Then at 5:30 the girl band, Touch of Silver, will perform for about 45 minutes
We have a date set for our annual show on June 24th and 25th, Friday and Saturday. That is the weekend after Fathers’ Day. It will be at the same place as our jam, 11970 S Elm, Jenks. We have lots of good musicians confirmed, so mark your calendars. |

We had some musicians from Kansas/Missouri visit on Sunday. Floyd McCoy played lead guitar and sang harmony with Doug Cole, bass and vocalist, Jeff Culver, pianist, and Rick Bevenue on drums. We had a great crowd, about 50 steel selections, various singers with beautiful voices, and a fun time. The church ladies served over a dozen pots of soup before the Touch of Silver band performed later that evening. Thanks to the folks who stayed after the jam.
Our jams are the 3rd Sunday 1-4 PM May, July, Sept, and November at 11970 S Elm Jenks, OK. Our show iJune 24 and 25 will be the same place.
We appreciate those new members who joined last Sunday. Welcome to all of you |
