Anybody out there have any ideas on what I could use for a non slip pad to fasten to the bottom of my lapsteel so it doesn't slip off my lap? Preferably something removable and non marring (maybe like a Mac tac) so I don`t damage the finish on my new expensive Rukavina Ripple. |

I just lay a length of non-slip shelf liner over my lap. Or it could be fastened to the guitar. |

Pool table felt.
Cut to size and shape comes with adhesive - job done
or make your own frame for your lap/buy a stand if your steel is too expensive to be stuck with glue _________________ Stefan

I'll second the non slip shelf liner. Cheap and works, just cut a small piece and put it on a knee then lay steel on it. No need to fasten to back of steel guitar or anything.
I've tried stands, consoles etc. In the end I just prefer playing on lap. Shelf liner pad helps. |
