The Urban Dictionary has many definitions on the word "Hack". The verb that turns up frequently these days is defined as, "To learn and understand a complex problem through a combination of experience, insight, and persistence."
Pete Drake - One of the most influential steel players in Country Music history. Had the uncanny ability to translate pain and anguish into his steel guitar work. Check out his work on TG Shepard's, "Devil In The Bottle".....the desperation that came out of his playing was nothing short of brilliant.
The first song on my upload has been one of my all time fave steel intros. Pete nailed it.
Enjoy....

Great job on that, Joe. Boy that song brings back a lot of memories. I played that song quite a few times when I worked for Joe Stampley back in the 80's. I sure enjoyed your rendition! Great tone, too. |
